About Us

November Forecast is an independent woman-owned business based in Toronto, Canada, offering a curated selection of high quality and unique stationary and art supplies as well as our own line of bookbinding kits and online bookbinding lessons. We are passionate about bookbinding, journaling, sketching and art.

We want to introduce you to the addictive art of bookbinding, and show you how beautiful, unique books can be made by anyone. We are also committed to helping you fill those blank pages through exploring the creative practice of journaling, both written and art based.

Please join our mailing list to be the first to hear about new products and classes.

Our Values

Quality of Service

At November Forecast, our goal is that every customer will be treated with respect. We strive to deliver on time and with exceptional value.

Quality of Goods

We pride ourselves on using sustainable, recycled and upcycled materials. Because of this, no two products may be alike, but each will be of high quality and aid your creativity. The natural variation that is found in our products is something to celebrate as we give a second life to materials that may otherwise have been discarded.

Sustainability

We strongly believe that we all have a responsibility to take care of our earth. At November Forecast we participate in several ways:

  • We offer the option to take our workshops online without kits so that you may source your materials locally and avoid shipping.
  • Our books and kits are made with recycled and upcycled materials, including leather remnants and offcuts that would otherwise be discarded and the option to use Kraft-Tex, an eco-friendly alternative to leather. The white paper in our kits is made from recycled coffee cups, and decorative papers come from left over craft projects, rolls of wall paper, wrapping paper, maps and other materials which are otherwise being unused and destined for the trash.
  • We source recycled and sustainable materials for our tool kits, which can often mean that our tools cost more than traditional bookbinding tools. Our bone folders are made from bamboo rather than real bones, the rulers are made from recycled plastic and the pencils from recycled newspapers. The tools are packaged in a cotton drawstring bag.
  • When shipping orders we use as few packing materials as possible and ensure that the materials we do use are reusable and recyclable.
